Today I’m introducing you to a new hotel that just opened in the summer of 2019!
Isn’t this the most popular luxury resort hotel on the main island of Okinawa right now?
It’s the very popular Halekulani Okinawa ☺️
Today’s blog is about Halekulani Okinawa.
We’ve put together an easy to understand summary of rooms, restaurants, pools, access, rates and more!
Let’s take a look at it!
I’m going to write this article so that you can learn all about Halekulani Okinawa and I hope you’ll read it to the end ☺

What kind of hotel is Halekulani Okinawa?
Halekulani is a famous luxury hotel in Hawaii that has been around for over 100 years.
Its Halekulani opened in Okinawa in July 2019!
Halekulani Okinawa is a large resort hotel with 360 rooms in all.
Despite its size, the hotel puts a tremendous amount of effort into hospitality.
The catchphrase is.
～A paradise most worthy of the name “Heaven”～
All 360 rooms have ocean views and 5 pools on site.
The hotel’s grounds alone would be enough to keep you there!
As I often write on this blog, I believe that the “soft” aspects of luxury hotels are more important than the “hard” aspects (and that may be true for everyone), so when choosing a hotel, I tend to focus on those aspects rather than how new it is or how clean it is.
The general manager of the Halekulani Okinawa was previously the deputy general manager of the Ritz-Carlton Osaka and the general manager of the Ritz-Carlton Okinawa.
He was appointed general manager of Halekulani Okinawa because
I thought that Halekulani Okinawa would surpass the Ritz Carlton.
I think that’s how much effort they put into staff training, so I think we can expect it to be a good one☺
Halekulani Okinawa Guest rooms Information
It’s a little hard to see, but there are two accommodation buildings in Halekulani Okinawa.
The “Beachfront Wing” facing the beach side and
It’s the “Sunset Wing” with a beautiful sunset view ☺.
It’s nice to know that all the rooms have ocean views!
The layout of the rooms in each building is different.
The standard rooms are all 50 square meters in size and are divided into different levels of rooms.
In short, even the most affordable room is 50 square meters, with the promise of an ocean view!
It’s unlikely that you’ll feel like a “miss” depending on the room.
Halekulani Okinawa’s beachfront wing is suitable for families!
The Beachfront Wing, as the name implies, faces the beach.
Halekulani’s main pools, including the Orchid Pool and the Kids Pool, are as follows
Four of the five pools are located near this beachfront wing.
Popular with families with children ☺.
The room types in the Beachfront Wing are.
・Deluxe Ocean View
・Premier ocean views on the upper level.
・Two types of suites (Ocean Terrace Suite and Executive Ocean Suite) are available.
Let’s leave the suites for a moment, and I’ll show you the standard rooms first☺
The layout of the Deluxe Ocean View and the Premier Ocean View is slightly different though.
The beach front wing features a deep layout, as shown in the image above ☺.
The Sunset Wing at Halekulani Okinawa is the perfect place for adults who want to spend a relaxing time.
Next is the Sunset Wing, and the Sunset Wing can be summed up in one word
It’s popular with adults ☺.
Because compared to the beach front wing, which has a lot of beaches and pools.
The Sunset Wing is very serene, isn’t it?
The atmosphere in the lobby is totally different too.
The Club Lounge and rooms with access to the Club Lounge exist only in the Sunset Wing, and
There are more rooms in the suites here than here.
Also, the only pool on the Sunset Wing side is also limited to 16 years and older.
I think it’s a completely adult oriented room wing ☺.
The rooms in the Sunset Wing are.
・Deluxe Ocean View Sunset
・Premier Club Ocean Front
・There are four types of suites (Orchid Suite, Halekulani Suite, Coral Suite and Executive Oceanfront Suite).
All standard rooms in the Sunset Wing have the same floor plan.
Here’s what it looks like ☺.
It’s more like a square shape compared to the beach front wing.
The difference between the standard rooms is that the Premier Oceanfront is on a higher floor.
The Premier Club Ocean Front is a high floor with club lounge access.
Halekulani Okinawa Suite
Next up are the suites, but there’s a bit of a variety, so I’ll summarize it for you, lol.
Two suites in the beachfront wing.
Ocean Terrace Suite (153㎡)
Executive Ocean Suite (76㎡)
The Sunset Wing offers four different types of suites
Orchid Suite (294㎡)
Halekulani Suite (244㎡)
Coral Suite (102㎡)
Executive Oceanfront Suite (76㎡)
No matter which suite you choose, it is a very nice room.
However, there is a bit of a surprising point…
It’s such a nice (and definitely expensive) suite…
No access to the club lounge!
Don’t you think this is terrible!
The Club Lounge at Halekulani Okinawa is available for
Premier Club Oceanfront in the Sunset Wing, which I mentioned earlier, and
That’s only if you use the villa I’ll show you later in the day (!).
Generally speaking, I think it’s only natural for a suite to have club lounge access.
That just doesn’t apply to Halekulani Okinawa, so just keep that in mind!
Halekulani Okinawa Villas
Lastly, there are 2 types of villas in Halekulani Okinawa, 5 buildings ☺.
The villa has a private pool and natural hot spring!
It’s so extravagant!
The first is 【Cliff Villa】.
Cliff Villa is a one-bedroom 82㎡.
Another one is 【Halekulani Cliff Villa】.
Halekulani Cliff Villas are
This is a 165㎡ villa with two natural hot springs ☺.
It’s the ultimate in luxury!
There will be three Cliff Villas and two Halekulani Cliff Villas.
As I mentioned earlier
Villa guests have access to the club lounge.
The private pool is also heated, so you don’t have to worry about the cold in winter ☺.
Restaurants in Halekulani Okinawa
There are four restaurants and one bar in Halekulani Okinawa, so I’d like to give you a quick summary of them☺
We’ll start with the two breakfast venues☆
HOUSE WITHOUT A KEY
HOUSE WITHOUT A KEY is one of the most popular dining options in Halekulani, Hawaii!
It’s an all-day dining restaurant available for breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea.
The terrace hosts daily events such as hula dances, and dinner is also popular☺
I’ll also write down HOUSE WITHOUT A KEY’s hours of operation and price range for your reference ☺️
HOUSE WITHOUT A KEY breakfast
Served from 7:00-14:00
It’s quite a varied and well-received buffet offering.
Most of the time you’ll probably book a plan that includes breakfast.
The no-meal plan costs just under 5,000 yen including tax and service charge, so it’s pretty upscale for a breakfast.
The breakfast buffet at the Ritz-Carlton Okinawa is also in the same price range, but as expected, the satisfaction level is high whether it is the Ritz or the Halekulani (^ω^).
HOUSE WITHOUT A KEY Lunch (a la carte)
Serving Time 12:00
HOUSE WITHOUT A KEY in Halekulani Okinawa is open until 14:00 for breakfast.
So although it’s called breakfast, you can also enjoy it as lunch ☺.
However, after 12:00, you can also order the a la carte menu.
The lunch a la carte menu includes Hawaiian dishes such as garlic shrimp and Loco Moco and Okinawan dishes such as Soki Soba, with prices ranging from 1,500 yen to 2,800 yen.
HOUSE WITHOUT A KEY afternoon tea
Served from 14:00-17:00
Afternoon tea set for 3.700 yen
There’s a wide variety of drinks in the set, even by default.
Special teas and a glass of wine are available for an additional charge.
HOUSE WITHOUT A KEY Dinner
Serving time 17:00-22:30 (last order 22:00)
HOUSE WITHOUT A KEY’s dinner time is basically an a la carte menu, but
There is also a small selection of mini-courses available ☺.
It’s four dishes, including dessert, so it’s good for those with small meals.
The mini-course is reasonably priced at 4.500 yen (excluding tax and service charge).
A la carte menu is
Soup:1.300 – 1.600 yen
Salads and appetizers:1.400 – 2.800 yen
Pasta:1.600 – 2.800 yen
Main food:1.500 – 5.300 yen
Dessert:800 – 1.500 yen
All prices are exclusive of tax and service charge.
We also have a few vegan items on the menu, so vegans don’t have to worry about it.
Next up is Innovative SHIROUX☆
SHIROUX is basically a restaurant that serves mainly dinner, but breakfast is also allowed!
Compared to the previously mentioned HOUSE WITHOUT A KEY, this restaurant has a much more mature atmosphere.
Innovative SHIROUX Breakfast
Serving time: 7:00-11:00am (last order at 10:30am)
Breakfast at SHIROUX is not a buffet, but rather a set menu.
If breakfast is not included in the room plan, the price is
Halekulani breakfast 4,000 yen
Healthy breakfast 4.000 yen
Continental breakfast 3.000 yen
Japanese breakfast 4.000 yen (all taxes and service charge not included)
If you include tax and service, it will be about 5,000 yen like HOUSE WITHOUT A KEY!
SHIROUX is much more relaxed than HOUSE WITHOUT A KEY, so
If you want to relax and have a relaxing breakfast, this is the place to go ☺.
Innovative SHIROUX Dinner
Serving time:17:00-23:00 (Last order 21:00)
SHIROUX has an age limit of 12 years and up for dinner time.
The food will be completely adult oriented with no a la carte and only courses ☺.
There is only one course, and the price is 13,000 yen per course for the dish alone.
The price for the alcoholic or non-alcoholic pairing set is 19.000 yen (excluding tax and service charge).
The owner chef of SHIROUX seems to be a two-Michelin-starred chef in Tokyo.
It has a very good reputation, but when it comes to SHIROUX’s dinner courses, I think there are quite a few different likes and dislikes.
SHIROUX’s dinner courses are pretty innovative, so I think you’ll either love or hate this one(^^;
Looking at the course menu, it looks like they are using Okinawan ingredients in a stylish way, but…
“Illaboo (sea snakes) and bone marrow….
Some of the ingredients are used in this dish that might make you go “Ugh…” for a moment.
There is only one course available, so if you’re not a fan of this kind of thing, it might be tough for you.
The way the food was served was so beautiful.
It looks delicious to me.
However, if you include the ingredients and flavors, there’s a good chance you won’t like it.
If you don’t like eating unfamiliar ingredients, I recommend checking out the course content beforehand.
However, since this is the trip to Okinawa, we have to
It might be a good opportunity to try Okinawan food(^^)
Japanese Cuisine AOMI – 青碧蒼
Next up is a Japanese restaurant ☺.
AOMI’s cuisine uses fresh ingredients from all over Japan, so you can enjoy solid and delicious Japanese food while being on a southern island!
Seafood is tastier in cold regions than in warm regions☆
However, AOMI sources its ingredients from Hokkaido, where seafood is delicious, so you can enjoy fresh and delicious Japanese food even in Okinawa！
AOMI is open from 17:00 to 23:00 (last order 21:30)
The menu is available a la carte and courses.
The a la carte menu is more of a snack than a staple, so if you want to have a solid dinner, the courses are better for you*.
AOMI’s price range.
The cheapest items start at 600 yen a la carte.
The most expensive items include 8 pieces of sushi (8,000 yen) and lobster sashimi (15,000 yen).
Course meals are
Sushi course 18,000 yen
The shabu-shabu and kaiseki courses are 13,000 yen each (tax and service charge not included).
Dress code is resort casual.
Children 12 years old and under will be served from 17:00 to 20:00.
STEAK & WINE KINGDOM
The fourth restaurant in Halekulani Okinawa is KINGDOM, a steak and wine restaurant.
KINGDOM” is located right next to “HOUSE WITHOUT A KEY” and is also a breakfast place.
They have beef, pork, chicken, as well as seafood and vegan dishes.
They have a wide variety of menu items ☺.
Okinawa is famous for its steaks, and there are many good steak restaurants at reasonable prices.
But don’t you think it’s nice to have a steak in an elegant atmosphere once in a while? (^^♪
The hours of operation of Steak & Wine KINGDOM
17:00 – 22:30 (last order is 21:00).
Most of the menu at [KINGDOM] is a la carte.
Salad and soup: 1.500 – 2.000 yen
Potatoes, cheese and other side dishes: 1.300 yen
Appetizer: approx3.000 yen
Dessert: 800 – 1.600 yen
The main steak is around 5.000 yen
High-end foodstuffs such as Kobe beef cost more than 20.000 yen.
On the other hand, vegan foods such as soybean meat are quite affordable at less than 2.000 yen☆
You can choose from the kids’ menu for less than 2.000 yen (^^)
As you can see, [KINGDOM] is mostly a la carte, but
There is also one course menu.
The course menu is 8.000 yen, so it’s a great deal ☺.
Sunset Bar “Spectra
Halekulani Okinawa has 4 restaurants as well as a bar where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset ☺.
That’s the Sunset Bar Spectra.
I think it’s hard to enjoy drinking while watching such a beautiful sunset in your daily life.
It’s worth a try when you travel to Okinawa ☺.
In addition to the usual alcoholic beverages, Halekulani Okinawa’s original cocktails are also very popular!
Snacks to go with the drinks range from ¥1,000 to ¥3,000, with caviar priced at ¥16,000 (excluding tax and service charge).
Sunset Bar Spectra’s hours of operation are
17:00 – 24:00 (Last order 23:30)
Counter seating is limited to those over 20 years old, and you must be 20 years old or older to use the bar after 20:00.
Halekulani Okinawa’s Sunset Bar “Spectra” is completely non-smoking, so be careful if you are a smoker.
Halekulani Okinawa’s pool
Halekulani Okinawa is a large resort hotel, so there are many pools!
There are five pools, four outdoor and one indoor, so you’ll have plenty of fun during your stay!
There are five pools at Halekulani Okinawa, but some of them have age restrictions, so I’ll introduce them in order.

The Halekulani symbol is used and is the main pool ☺.

・Ocean Terrace Pool
Ocean Terrace Pool is one of the four outdoor pools at Halekulani Okinawa
This is the only pool located on the Sunset Wing side.
